About

I am a Data Scientist at Valtech (formerly Kin + Carta, formerly Cascade Data Labs), an experience innovation consultancy. There, I use daily sales forecasts of breakfast food to help retailers meet their demand. I automate data-quality testing and code linting. And, I lead small teams that build dashboards to visualize spatial data and explain statistical models.

Off the clock, I climb, cycle, watch movies made in bygone times, and read histories of ideas and institutions.

From 2020 to 2022, I was a Research Associate at the Yale Program on Financial Stability in New Haven, CT. There, I wrote histories of financial crises, framed by the policies created to fight them.

Before Yale, I graduated from the University of Virginia, where I double majored in Political & Social Thought and Economics. I wrote a thesis estimating the impact of home price depreciation on voting outcomes, and worked with the UVA School of Architecture to improve transit outcomes in central Virginia.

I am based in Cambridge, MA.
